About Me:

Rhyanne

Teaching is my PASSION! I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 7 years old. I was the kid that played school after school. I would gather all my friends and play the teacher with my set of coloring books and flash cards as my lessons.

This dream of becoming a teacher was not easy for me; in 4th grade, my dream in my mind was over when it was discovered that I was dyslexic. I thought I would never be a teacher. With the help of my special education teacher; who helped me set goals and reach them. She taught me that if I work hard and really want to be a teacher I can and will. She was so right! Now I teach that same lesson to my students.

I have been teaching since 2013. I have taught in a multi-grade setting and self-contained classroom. I have taught grades 5-8th full time and part time K-4th grade. It is my belief that all students can learn and that with engaging lesson students take an active role in their education. I believe that it does take a village to raise a child and I am so pleased to be a part of that village for my students. I think that due to my learning disability it makes me work harder for my students and understand when they get frustrated if they do not understand something. I try to meet all my students' needs.

Outside of the classroom, there is so much to me. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to some really AMAZING people in my life. I am also a speaker, author, business and non-profit owner.  My non-profit is about helping women overcome challenges with self-esteem due to life's events. Currently serving as the Director of the HOPE Summer Camp in Miami, Fl.
