Add Motivation Speeches to Your Classroom

As a teacher one of the best things I think I can do is offer my students motivation; by being their #1 fan and their Cheerleader on the good and bad days. Just like we need motivation as adults so does a child. With the technology we can expose students to FREE motivational speeches from past and present; old school voices and new school. I add motivational clips from YouTube to my class before major exams and even on normal school days sometimes. I even play them as a Journal responds. Students are so open to theses clips. Every now and then even if you would have said the same thing, sometimes hearing it from another person is more accepted. Here is one of my Favorites that I have shared with a group of teens; this clip was one I used to motivate students to give an effort to their education and work harder. The speaker is Eric Thomas, who is an amazing speaker.

*** Please make sure you listen to a clip before you play it for students to make sure you agree with the message and it gives the point you want to stress to your students.
